Long Island is my home, and after traveling the country managing different Democratic campaigns, I realized I wanted to dedicate my career to winning in my own backyard. That’s why after re-electing a congresswoman in California, I came back to Long Island to continue winning locally. Since coming home, I’m proud of the work I’ve done. I helped flip the Senate to Democratic control by electing Monica Martinez, the first woman and Latina to represent the 4th Senate District. I’m also proud of the work to elect Steve Stern to an Assembly seat that had been Republican for 40 years, electing the first African-American Sheriff, Errol Toulon, in Suffolk County’s history, and working with Nancy Goroff to win a contentious primary for Congress. Long Island is politically diverse, but I’ve been successful electing Democrats in good years, and in bad years. I look forward to continuing the work to elect and re-elect Democrats to all levels of government across New York for years to come.
